General conditions of purchase, return and exchange

At FLB Food Solutions, our approach to credit and returns is simple and focused on complete customer satisfaction while maintaining food safety for all our customers.

FLB Food Solutions will issue a credit on any product not accepted at the time of delivery (except special orders and products with the HACCP label). FLB Food Solutions reserves the right to charge a return shipping fee to restock the products. After delivery, our policy is within the limits listed below.

 

UPON ARRIVAL OF DELIVERY IT IS EXPECTED THAT:

Your FLB driver will verify that the number of items delivered matches the number indicated on your invoice;

You can then choose to return items and obtain a credit at the time of delivery (except for special orders and products marked HACCP);

If a product is missing, your FLB driver will request a credit;

Once you have authorized your order (minus the items you are returning), you will simply need to sign the invoice to indicate that you are satisfied with the delivery.

 

AFTER DELIVERY, A PRODUCT CAN BE RETURNED ONLY IF IT MEETS THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS:

DEADLINES

All return and credit requests must be made within the following timeframes:

Meat, fish and seafood: Non-returnable.

Fresh meat, fruits, vegetables, and all perishable products: Upon delivery.

Frozen products: Upon delivery.

Groceries or cleaning products: 48 hours after delivery.

 

TEMPERATURE

Keep all perishable returns at the proper temperature to maintain product integrity and safety.

Frozen products: -18º C to -6º C or colder (0º to 20º Fahrenheit).

Fresh meats and other perishable products: -1º C to 4.4º C (30º to 40º Fahrenheit).

 

PACKAGING

Products may be returned for full credit only when they are in their original packaging without marks or damage and within the specified time frame. Please do not write anything on the boxes.

 

PERISHABLE PRODUCTS (Fresh fish and seafood, meat, poultry, dairy products, fruits and vegetables).

The following process applies to limit the risk of cross-contamination: Prior to pickup, all perishable products must be returned in their original sealed packaging and stored at the required temperature at all times.

Please note: Drivers are not permitted to take back any perishable product that does not meet these food safety requirements. All returned perishable products are subject to inspection by an FLB Quality Control Associate to determine if credit can be issued.

 

CHEMICALS

Pay special attention to chemical returns. Transport Canada regulations prohibit the transport of chemicals in opened containers or in containers other than the original. In addition, all chemical returns must be accompanied by WHMIS sheets. Please have the WHMIS sheets on the product to be returned or available for the delivery person.

 

SPECIAL ORDER PRODUCTS

Special Order Products have been purchased specifically for you. Because they cannot be resold, they are not returnable unless damaged or of questionable quality at the time of delivery. To return Special Order Products after delivery, due to damage or quality, you will need prior authorization from an FLB representative following inspection.

 

DIRECT DELIVERY

Drop shipments are made directly by our suppliers. Contact your FLB sales representative for any unacceptable product within 24 hours of delivery.

 

END OF SEASON

FLB can accept returns of non-perishable products (subject to a 20% return fee) that are unopened in their original packaging within policy guidelines and within acceptable dates and food safety.
